Allen was captivated by the evolving world of entertainment and advertising in the 90s. He drew early inspiration from behavior-driven ads, sweepstakes, and the culture of MTV, which showcased bold new marketing concepts.
First Taste of Event Marketing (5-10 years old):
Allen began helping his parents put on Christmas craft shows, Halloween parties, and Beanie Baby events. He made signs to market these gatherings and helped coordinate logistics, giving him a firsthand look at grassroots marketing. These early experiences taught Allen the power of creativity, community engagement, and the impact of well-placed messaging.
High School Struggles and Skateboarding Culture:
Struggling to focus in school, Allen found a creative outlet in skateboarding. He fell in love with the skateboarding culture and learned from its unique style of marketing with influencers and professional skaters. Skateboarding taught him a key entrepreneurial lesson: learn to fall without fear, gain control, and then progress.
Early Interest in Marketing and New Tech:
In his early 20s, Allen became captivated by platforms like Facebook and YouTube, diving into content creation, paid ads, and social media marketing. When people asked where he’d learned it all, he’d say, “I went to the School of YouTube.” His self-taught digital strategy skills set him ahead of the curve, paving the way for his success in marketing.
Early 20's | Nightclub Promoter and Social Media Innovator:
Allen took on nightclub promotion, using clever social media “hacks” to boost visibility and engagement. He mentored the nightclub owner through a successful exit, turning the business into a multimillion-dollar operation through strategic marketing.
Mid 20's | Launch of a Media Agency:
